Internet and networks requirements
QRnetworks requires a minimum bandwidth averaging of 10 to 30Mbps, depending on the resolution and FPS. You can lower the bitrate on slower connections. You can also raise the bitrate to increase image quality.
Is it viable to stream games with QRnetworks over wifi?
Yes its definitely viable. A wired network will provide the best result, and we highly recommend using an Ethernet connection over wifi. With that said a router that supports 5GHz signal will be the next best choice. Please be aware that the steaming device also needs to support the 5GHz signal.
Acceptable Jitter & latency for game streaming
The maximum latency tolerated by the users should be no more than 40ms. For the best experience, we recommend 20ms or lower. QRnetworks internet provides sub 5ms latency.
